You could say that the story of McCord & Associates began back in the 1950’s, when B.J. “Bud” McCord first began a career in the insurance claims industry. He continued to advance to an executive position, and later left that corporate world to operate his own independent adjusting firm, McCord Claims Service, for many years.
His son, Rick McCord, after helping in the office from a young age, eventually had his own career in claims, and advanced to a vice president position. In 2001 he also left the corporate world to start what became McCord & Associates, and along with wife and partner Julie McCord built it into a success.
In turn, Rick’s son Dustin McCord also found his way into the field of claims, and after joining the company in 2002, progressed to the position of Managing Director.
Brooke Masloskie joined McCord & Associates in 2017, and is Director of Corporate Services, with responsibility over multiple parts of the operation. Jonathan Champoux joined the company in 2015, after advancing to senior claims positions, and is Director of Claims, with responsibility over key programs.
McCord & Associates remains independently owned and operated, and the ownership and senior management team of Dustin McCord, Brooke Masloskie, and Jonathan Champoux is proud to continue its long and successful legacy.

1950
Foundations
In the early 1950’s B.J. “Bud” McCord began working as a claims adjuster, while studying law at night. After advancing to various executive claim positions, he eventually opened McCord Claim Service in the early 1960’s.
2001
Second Generation
Rick McCord worked in the family business while growing up, and went on to a successful career in the insurance claim industry. In 2001 he also left the corporate world to found Criterion Claim Solutions (now McCord & Associates), and along with his wife Julie McCord, established it as an enduring and respected transportation claim administrator.
2010s
Evolution & Succession
McCord and Associates continues to grow, built on a secure foundation established by Rick McCord. Future officers Brooke Masloskie and Jonathan Champoux joined the team to work alongside Dustin McCord, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to long-term success and sustainability for many years to come.

EXECUTIVE TEAM
Rick McCord
President/Founder
Rick founded Criterion Claim Solutions (now McCord & Associates) in 2001, he brings over 50 years of experience in the insurance industry. His extensive background includes various claims positions, such as field adjuster, supervisor, Claim Manager, and Vice President of Claim Operations for a Midwest insurer.
Throughout his career, Rick has been instrumental in developing and implementing numerous programs and processes. He has actively participated in industry organizations, presented multiple training sessions, and earned his CPCU designation.
Dustin McCord
Managing Director
Dustin joined Criterion Claim Solutions (now McCord & Associates) in 2002 as a Claim Representative, later advanced to Claim Supervisor, Program Manager, and now Managing Director overseeing multiple domestic and London transportation programs. He previously served a corporate sales internship, and worked in various management positions while attending college.
He attended Scottsdale Community College and the University of Advancing Computer Technology in Tempe, Arizona, and has also attended Vale National Training Institute for Property & Casualty Adjusting.
Jonathan Champoux
Director of Claims
Jonathan joined McCord & Associates in 2015 as a Claim Specialist and has advanced to his current position as Director of Claims. In this role, he oversees the handling of various claims, leveraging over 25 years of claims experience.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, which complements his expertise in claims management and strategic oversight.
Brooke Masloskie
Director of Corporate Services
Brooke joined McCord & Associates as an H.R. Generalist in early 2017 and has since advanced to her current role as Director of Corporate Services. She oversees various H.R., payroll, and accounts payable functions, playing a vital role in our operations.
Before joining the family business, Brooke worked as a cosmetologist and training facilitator at one of the nation’s largest salons. She studied Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and later obtained her cosmetology license. Additionally, she holds a certification in Human Resources Management from Villanova University.
Darcy Limley
Business Services Manager
Darcy started as the cornerstone of Criterion Claim Solutions (now McCord & Associates) since its founding in 2001. With over 40 years in the insurance industry, she excels in data systems and network management, overseeing the generation of vital claim reports, loss runs, and statistical analyses that enhance operational efficiency.
Previously, Darcy spent 15 years at a local insurance company, starting as a computer operator and rising to Claims Clerical Supervisor. Her extensive experience and leadership have significantly contributed to our organization’s success.
Mike Fanoele
Program Manager
Mike began his career with us in 2004 after completing his college education. Over the years, he has advanced through various roles, serving as a Claims Specialist and Claims Manager before taking on his current position as Program Manager. In this role, Mike has become an integral part of our team, overseeing multiple London and domestic programs.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he was also an active member of his fraternity. His diverse background and commitment to excellence have made him a key contributor to our company’s success.
Dona Anderson
Litigation Specialist
Dona brings over 35 years of extensive experience in claim handling and supervision to her role as our Litigation Specialist. Throughout her career, she has held various positions, including Risk Management, Senior Claims Specialist, Supervisor, and President, demonstrating her versatile expertise in the field. Currently, she serves as our Litigation Manager, where she leverages her wealth of knowledge to navigate complex claims.
Dona holds both the AIC and SCLA designations, underscoring her commitment to professional excellence. To enhance her skills and stay current in the industry, she has participated in multiple educational academies, including the American Educational Institute, the American Institute of Insurance, and the GAB Claim Academy.
With a deep understanding of the litigation landscape, Dona is dedicated to delivering effective solutions and driving successful outcomes for our clients.
Logan Schere
Program Manager
Logan joined our team as a Claim Service Representative in 2015 and has since advanced to his current role as Program Manager, overseeing various London programs. His dedication and expertise have been pivotal in his progression from Claim Specialist to Program Manager.
Logan holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. His leadership has been an integral part to our success, guiding and supporting our Associates.
Curtis Schulz
Team Lead
Curtis joined our team in 2015 as a Claim Service Representative and has since earned multiple promotions, currently serving as a Team Lead. His commitment and hard work have been key to his success at McCord & Associates.
Curtis graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. During his time at university, he was actively involved in his fraternity, serving on multiple boards and demonstrating his leadership skills.
